How to Play Spider Solitaire
Spider Solitaire uses two decks and challenges you to build complete sequences from King to Ace. When a full suited sequence is formed, it is removed from the tableau.
Setup
- Deal 54 cards into 10 tableau columns; only the top card of each column is face up.
- The remaining cards form the stock; deal one new row to each column when you need more cards.
- Build down regardless of suit, but complete sequences must be in a single suit to clear.
Key Rules
Building sequences
Any card can be placed on the next higher rank in the tableau, but you can only move a stack when it is in the same suit.
Dealing from the stock
You must have at least one card in every column to deal a new row. Dealing adds complexity, so use it when no strong moves remain.
Strategy Tips
- Expose hidden cards early by clearing short columns.
- Build suited sequences when possible to unlock full-stack moves.
- Delay stock deals until you have created as much space as possible.
